As a Learning Scientist, I study how people learn. I am an educator at heart! I teach in a wide variety of settings because learning happens everywhere: as a yoga teacher, a psychology professor, an associate editor for an academic journal on intercollegiate athletics, and a published researcher on race and ethnicity in sport.
My purpose in life is to help others through my teaching. I want there to be more clarity, more compassion, and more agency in those I have worked with because I have taught them. As a Black woman in educational psychology, it is my responsibility to create and advance equity-based learning environments.
My Ph.D. is in the Learning Sciences, a branch of Educational Psychology. In my work as a Learning Scientist, I have experience designing learning environments in multiple fields. Find out more about my design, teaching, and research skills using the different tabs on my website:
